Title: Freelance Web Developer – Job Board Network with Syndication

Job Description: We seek a skilled freelance web developer based in India to develop a network of job board websites with job posting syndication functionality, similar to workdirectory.ca. The ideal candidate should have experience in building scalable web applications, working with job board platforms, and implementing content syndication systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop a network of interconnected job board websites with a consistent look and feel.
• Implement a centralized database or API to store and manage job postings across the network.
• Develop a job posting syndication system that automatically distributes job postings from one site to all other sites in the network.
• Ensure the syndicated job postings maintain consistent formatting and styling across all websites.
• Implement measures to prevent duplicate job postings and maintain data integrity.
• Optimize the system for scalability and performance, considering the potential for high traffic and a large volume of job postings.
• Integrate with external job board aggregators or syndicators, if required.
• Collaborate with the project stakeholders to gather requirements, provide updates, and incorporate feedback.
• Perform thorough testing and debugging to ensure the smooth functioning of the job board network and syndication system.
• Provide documentation and support for the developed solution.

Qualification / Requirements

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a web developer with a strong portfolio of relevant projects.
• Proficiency in web development technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and relevant frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js).
• Experience with server-side technologies such as Node.js, PHP, or Python (Django or Flask).
• Familiarity with database management systems like MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.
• Knowledge of APIs, RESTful web services, and content syndication techniques.
• Understanding of WordPress and experience with job board plugins like WP Job Manager or JobRoller is a plus.
• Familiarity with job board platforms, aggregators, or syndicators is desirable.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to develop efficient and scalable solutions.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with remote teams.
• Commitment to delivering high-quality code and meeting project deadlines.
