Job Description
As a Video Editor, you will play a crucial role in the creation and production of our online courses. You will work closely with our instructional designers, subject matter experts, and other creative professionals to produce visually appealing and informative video content that enhances the learning experience. Your primary responsibilities will include editing raw footage, adding graphics, animations, and other multimedia elements, and ensuring the final product is polished and ready for publication.
Responsibilities
- Edit raw video footage into cohesive, high-quality course content.
- Collaborate with instructional designers and subject matter experts to understand course objectives and requirements.
- Incorporate graphics, animations, and other multimedia elements to enhance video content.
- Ensure videos are consistent with brand guidelines and maintain a professional look and feel.
- Review and implement feedback from team members to refine and improve video content.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in video editing and e-learning content production.
Qualification / Requirements
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Video Editor, preferably in an educational or e-learning context.
- Proficiency with video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar.
- Strong understanding of video production techniques, including color correction, audio mixing, and motion graphics.
- Experience with graphic design and animation software such as Adobe After Effects or similar.
- Excellent attention to detail and a creative eye for visual storytelling.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Good communication skills and the ability to give and receive constructive feedback.
- A portfolio or samples of previous video editing work.
- Bachelor’s degree in Film Production, Multimedia Arts, Communications, or a related field.
- Experience in the online education or e-learning industry.
- Knowledge of instructional design principles and adult learning theories.
- Familiarity with LMS (Learning Management Systems) and video hosting platforms.
